"I take this opportunity to appreciate King Jesus Christ for His divine love, grace, and favor upon my life. It wasn't easy for me to get through. I am the firstborn in my family. My mom used to call me bad luck because she believed I had ruined her targets and goals. I grew up with the mindset that I was born by mistake. I lost hope in continuing my education after Senior 4, but by the help of ALARM Uganda, I was able to study, though I remained bitter, believing I had no good future ahead. Glory to the Author and Finisher of my faith, who knows my inner and outer being. During the 2021 conference at Christian Community Church in Kitgum, I poured out my heart to God, holding nothing back. Since 2022, my life has changed, and surprisingly, in 2023, when I joined True Vine Disciple Makers, I began to see light in my darkest moments. I came to realize that Jesus Christ never leaves His children. Now, I am being supported by this organization. Thank you to my sponsor—may God bless you abundantly. "My name is Sandra, and this is my story. Before I joined True Vine Disciple Makers, I was a Christian but not yet a disciple of Jesus. I thought discipleship was only for pastors or certain people. But when David taught me what it truly meant to be a disciple, I was deeply encouraged, and I decided to follow Jesus as a disciple who also makes disciples. This decision changed my life. Through discipleship, I gained many valuable experiences, and my faith in God was strengthened. Before receiving this scholarship, I had lost hope in my studies. I live with my father, who is a motorcycle rider. He struggled to make ends meet, and with so many children to care for, I was often sent home from school for not being able to pay the fees. But when I joined the True Vine Disciple Makers’ scholarship program, I was able to study peacefully. My hope was restored, and I began to see my dreams come to pass. I completed my Form Six and even graduated—something I once thought would never happen. I pray to receive this scholarship for university and continue pursuing my dreams. Thank you so much. "Before True Vine Disciple Makers sponsored my education, I was not comfortable in class. At times, I was sent out of class and even from school due to lack of school fees. I lost focus and couldn’t concentrate in class because I had no hope in my studies due to the ongoing financial struggles. I was unhappy with my performance. I sincerely appreciate True Vine Disciple Makers for giving me hope in life by sponsoring my education and bringing a smile to my face. Since then, I have experienced significant changes in my life. "I am Pastor Daniel, a disciple-maker from Patongo Town Council, Agago District. Years ago, I was struggling with sharing the gospel in my community. Many people in Patongo did not want to hear about salvation, and many pastors, including myself, faced challenges in evangelism because we lacked disciple-making skills. But when God connected us with True Vine Disciple Makers Ministries, led by Pastor Sandukan Omara, I was introduced to disciple-making. I gained the skills to mentor and raise disciples. I left one as a pastor of my former church and planted another church in Patongo Town Council. I now lead a group of 15 new disciples, and we meet every Thursday. Financially, I was also struggling, but the ministry helped me by offering a loan, which allowed me to start a motor spare parts business. This business has enabled me to pay my two children’s school fees at a good nursery school, provide for my family, and support God's work. I am truly grateful to God for this ministry because it has transformed my life, my family, and the work of God in my community. "I am Jolly, so grateful for the love of God upon my life. It was not easy for me in the past—I had no hope of going to school after my S4, and I thought all my dreams were going to shatter. But by God's grace, I was sponsored and am now in school pursuing a plumbing course, dreaming of becoming an engineer in the future. More so, I am glad that I was introduced to discipleship, which has gradually changed my thinking. Before, I believed that following Christ meant going to church every Sunday, listening to preaching, and singing in the choir. But now, I am a disciple who makes disciples, glorifying God. "This is my story: Before I joined True Vine Disciple Makers, I didn't know what discipleship meant. I didn't even know whether I was a disciple of Jesus or not—I only knew that I was a Christian. I was also struggling with school fees since we are many children in my family. But when I joined this organization, my mindset changed. I now study without worrying about being sent home for fees. My understanding of Jesus Christ also changed. I came to realize that I am a disciple and that I have the task of extending the love and power of Jesus to others through discipleship. Before I was sponsored, I lacked confidence in whether I would ever accomplish my dream of becoming a doctor due to financial difficulties in paying school fees.
